			USB oscilloscope was the project we did for the minor project in IVth semester.
			The basic idea of USB oscilloscope was to convert any electrical signal into digital signal with an ADC and transfer the data to the PC throught the use of HID class USB device and convert the data back to scaleable analog signal and display to the user in the PC screen.
			<div align="center"><img width = "400px" src="images/DualChannel.png"/></div>
			An snapshot of the oscilloscope with both the channels viewed is shown in the image above. The lower signal was generated using 555 timer IC and fed into the USB oscilloscope port and the and the upper random signal was obtained by varying the light intensity in the LDR placed in a voltage divider circuit.

			This shows the usefulness of the USB oscilloscope. Though still to be improved, following materials can be downloaded for the oscilloscope.

	Writing is something I wish I were good at, but I've realized that wishing is not good enough to achieve what I strive for. I've actually got to do it on concrete terms. Sometimes I start writing and go on typing as long as I don't think I've to read what I've written. Then most of the time I realize that I'm too poor, and usually throw them away.
	<p>
	But this time I've decided that I would post it here, whether or not I get the audience I' will at least have it published for my satisfaction. So some of my writings, ususally not bound on any particular topic, are posted here. Some of you may find them intruiging or some of you may even find them useless, nevertheless I've tried to get over my lack of confidence to express, however poor I am at them, through these posts.
	</p>
	<p>
	I ususlly try to write whatever comes to my write, that I think worth writing, (not every rubbish that comes to mind needs documentation). So some of my writing may not seem to be destined for particular purpose, at least the common purpose of all them is to be able to write and express. I am aware that doing something just for the sake of doing it is worthless, so I always wish that my writing serve some purpose, advocate about something, express my level of understanding of something or at least be worthful for someone to have a smile thorugn it.

<div align="justify">
	This is a mere waste of time in terms of the knowledge to the time ratio I am getting. I have been doing nothing and not learning something worth even a penny yet spending time worth more than a million. I don't blame anyone for this and the only one to be blamed is me and me only. I am in the prestigious robotics club which already has spread its fame all around the country and probably some way around the world. But I don't quite think this is the right way I have to be involved in this. I don't know how does a diode work! And where I am? Oh!! on a place where some individual geniuses combine their knowledge to produce some of the finest robots and electronic components produced within at least the country and may be some way around the world. The difference between the knowledge of the working of a simple diode to the knowledge that can simply make a robot work. Oh I am worthless here. Don't know how does the electron flow through a circuit and simply looking at a circuit where electron itself gets confused which path to flow through. I know, when I learn how does an electron actually respond to the electric field, I would eventually learn to analyse and figure out how does the electron flow through the powerful brain of robot which these ROBOTICS CLUB guys give birth to, with probably way more than nine months where nature itself can create a powerful brain worth the capacity to hold the knowledge of how the universe works.<p>

	But somebody please tell me how does an electron flow through a diode and I shall give you the information how does the electron flows through the brain of the robot. Probably I lack the dedication to learn how exactly the diode work. I sadly lack someone who, with some confidence, can explain me how the f**k do the two amazing individuals, known by the engineers as electrons and holes, create such a genius called diode and transistor who works logically. I just imagine an electron as a perfect sphere with some attractive pheromone able to attract proton. Just as I see “some x minus x cubed thing divided by three factorial” when I hear Taylor; compared to my brother who doesn't give a damn what the shit is factorial and tells me “feel the power of her music and her beauty”. I am my brother feeling her beauty when my robotics club guys around me see factorial thing in electrons and hole. Oh the holiness, do you mean I will never be able to learn the factorial series thing out of electrons and hole?<p></p>

	"Hey give me LM258 datasheet and give me this, give me that and blah blah blah.", my robotics friends say in the background and I think which language is this. What is a datasheet and what is LM258? For me electronics is just electron and my electron is just an ordinary guy with natural pheromone just able to attract proton and of course her friends but my friends' electrons flow in the blood vessels of robot, its brain and produce some other guys with another useful pheromone<p></p>

	Any way I've got to go back to the basic. Don't give a damn what they talk about some datasheets and some 3425 shit's, learn how does an electron uses its pheromone to flow thorough the robots brain. Don't just get fancied by those using breadboard just to display some internet circuits designed by some electronic geniuses. Go back to the basic, learn how the diode work, learn how is the transistor different from just two diodes combined back to back and you will know how to build a robot. It's not a child's play after-all . . . It's got to be thorough and understandable . . . And my friend who of you don't know what is electron and what is hole go back to the basic and not to the internet where there are already designed robots and don't just get fascinated by your dull friends who just display them on a breadboard or some already programmed circuit designers. Go back to the basic again and learn diode. Learn it and I guarantee you, one day you will have your own robot not copied form any internet sites by some geniuses but instead other will download yours and you will be the master. Go back to the basics. Get your basic strong.<[>

	Love you all. Have a nice day with electron; feel her pheromone. Its damn so nice, forget about axe.<p></p>

<div align="justify">
	On December 13, 2014 I participated in iCode, A coding contest with strictly 'C' as a programming language to code. It was very cold when I reached the venue, KEC college Kalimati, Kathmandu Nepal. The cold I was in was aided mainly by the speedy bike ride in the open air I took to reach the venue in time. My hands were barely able to press for the keywords.<p></p>

	With a acceptable delay the contest started, with the volunteers briefly explaining how the contest would go upto the final round. The first round would contain 3 questions (simple- very simple). The simple questions were justified as the contest was not just for producing correct answer but the most efficient one too. Then selected would progress to the second round where they would get one question. The ones selected from the second round would progress to the final round where one would express his mind on whatever he liked.<p></p>

	So, began the contest. I quickly skimmed through the questions first. They were fairly easy questions. But as the time went I grew nervous. Never had I thought that I would be nervous even solving the question of that level of simplicity, but for the pressure of contest, I somehow lost myself. But organized myself jsut enought to complete the questions in time, and yeah, producing correct answers. And code efficiency? I don't know, as efficient as I could manage.<p></p>

	The called the name of the selected one by one having said there were 13, yes 13 to be coding on the next round. I was making a tentative count, "well It should be over by now, and I am not one of them ", then suddenly my name. I was the 13th to be called. Well I had nothing to do with 13, just another prime number, they already told the name were not in any preferential order. There was a single lady amongst.<p></p>

	The second round yay, I found myself searching for a seat, right beside the Augasta Ada, lied a seat, calling somebody to be sat upon. I grabbed it. <p></p>

	They clarified the rule, nothing was except for one added, now they would mark the time as well, those with fastest right answer would get points for remaining time. The max time was 60 minutes. Then came the question. <p></p>
	....
	<p></p>
	Near about 15min mark, I was about to finish with just some cleaning up left, Augasta Ada called, well Oh, "Is she really a successor of Ada?", t#fuss!#!!, she gave up, "Not really, just a lady, not Lady Augusta Ada". Then I submitted as well, they marked it 18 minutes. The fastest.<p></p>

	Third round, well this time around I was the first to be called. With two other alongside me. "No No, Not in any preferential order". <p></p>
	Two cups of cofee, and an hour gone...<p></p>

	I should admit, I was not 100%, but It wasn't bad effort. Two others were good too.<p></p>
	I expected to ,"What? The summit, Nothing less". Well, not to be this time?
	Was I satisfied, with the result?,"bdong bdong bdong ...", with the judgement? "Really? ... Congratulations".<p></p>

	The people there were amazing, for once I wished I was a student there. I were among those who talked programming with passion. Back home, well my class home, I had a terrible environment at least to say.<p></p>

	A day well spent.<p></p>

	<div align="justify">
	</p><p>Mr. Avash Gajurel,<p>
	Co-Ordinator,<p>
	LOCUS Committe - 2015.<p>
	<p>
	I'd never thought that I'd have to write to you like this but here I am having to write you. This is completely my personal viewes from a prespective of a student of Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, IOE Pulchowk Campus who had been involved voluntarily in one of the events, "FUNCO-coding-contest", of LOCUS exhibition.
	</p><p>
	First of all I'd like to apologize for however I presented myself to you and all the locus committe members from the commencing of the event till date if I was ever rude at all, though being rude or unpleasent wasn't ever my intention when working or talking with you.
	</p><p>
	There's no denying the fact that organizing LOCUS exhibition was one of the most difficult jobs LOCUS committe had to do during the tenure. I congratulate you and all the members for continuing the tradition of organizing such an event and thank you for putting your hard work on. I rest the question of whether the exhibition was a success or not on the impartial spectators who visited and analyzed the events during the LOCUS exhibition.
	</p><p>
	Lets now get straight into the matter I and LOCUS committe had a direct relation. "FUNCO-Coding-Contest". When we first thought of the Idea of organizing a coding contest during the LOCUS exhibition, the first ever we did was to write a formal, letter to LOCUS committe stating our intention to volunteer in a to be called organized-by-locus, coding contest, that was February 4th, 2015. The person we handed the letter was one of the committe member and our Class Representative, Mr. Ayush Shrestha. He straight away bounced the letter back demanding a proposal-like document explaining the details. We did that and wrote an eMail to locus committe. We very much doubt that you read that one any time soon, because the first time we met few days after that you were unknown about the fact.
	</p><p>
	We, (me, other volutneers of FUNCO and you and Mr. Prasun Srestha), met and discussed about the program. You said that there would be a CODE-CAMP organized by Yomari. Having heard about our, to be FUNCO-coding-contest, CODE-JAM or so you said, you said you had a doubt in mind if the students of BCT 4th yr were going to organize the program such CODE-JAM. And further said we could organize the contest on 8th of Falgun and wouldn't interfare with CODE-CAMP. One of the most important things you said in your own words, "We hope the events be self sustained, but if it can't raise all the funds needed, LOCUS would bear all the expenses." You won't deny saying that, woluld you?
	</p><p>
	With some discussions, software coordinator, Mr. Nishant Mahat, confirming that there were no any CODE-JAM like programs proposed by BCT iVth yr or other, and firmly denying the date to be any time during the CODE-CAMP, which actually he said was all three days of LOCUS exhibition, we confirmed the date of the contest to be 7th of falgun. We accordingly prepared ourselves mentally and technically. I myself made sponsorship document stating the date to be 7th of Falgun. We visited some likely sponsors but hardly were there any positive responses, becuase most of them had either already been approached by locus or were not interested in sponsoring. But still we had hopes from some of the positive respondors.
	</p><p>
	Then came the poster of HAKATHON, with a prize of 35,000 (Rs. Thirty Five Thousand) the date of which was stated in the poster was 5th, 6th and 7th of Falgun. All of were mighty shocked. What's with LOCUS, from whose pocket has the program been posted. When asked for an explanation, the logic you people gave was one of the most illogical one, "We had a typing error and 4th 5th and 6th became 5th 6th and 7th". I don't know if you people, at that moment, thought that you were talking to some low grade creatures with no brain at all. How could anyone ever accept such an explanation? I had said at that point, this is illogical but still we've got to go for a solution and not (heated) discussions. The solution you suggested was to postpone the date for the very next day, 8th of Falgun. Still there were questions, what encouraged Mr. Software Coordinator to firmly deny any of the three days 8,9,10 th of falgun at the first place and what had suddenly changed so dramatically that 8th would be allowed? Why couldn't the printing error be corrected instead?
	</p><p>
	That very evening, by when it had already been some 10 or so days since we had formally proposed the program, we had a discussion with our class representatives to the LOCUS committe (Mr. Ayush, Mr. Dibakar and Mr. Prasun) about all the fuss of the date, we were shoked to learn that yet one of those three was unaware of any such kind of contest we proposed. The rubbished the previous "printing-error" super-logic and accepted that it was deliberate. Do you even discuss the matter with the committe members when some hard working volunteers propose a program? All we frequently hear is "there is a locus committe meeting" and the guys get attandance in bonus. That evening Mr. Finance Coordinator said that they would allow Rs. 10,000 at most for the event (that exclusive the prize) and not to exceed that.
	</p><p>
	Then next was the Poster design, on which we had to conform the prizez. We designed the poster and verified it with, Mr. Dibakar Serela, and Mr. Pasun Shrestha. They okeyed the poster with certain modifications and the prizes were fixed in accordance to them. The next day we printed the poster, one of which was posted on the notice board of LOCUS office for the remainder and as a souvenier. May be, the while you were passing by the gate, despite your busy schedule, your eyes fell on the poster, we expect you did see that.
	</p><p>
	On the day of the program the delayed inaguration delayed our program too. We previously had given the design of the Flex of the program. One of the locus committe member said, "Its ready come back after 5 minutes to take it", and that 5th minute is yet to end. We had our program commenced, without the flex. It was a huge turnout, which aided significantly to the success of the fair, in the program. You said you were busy during the day of the program, and so should every member of the LOCUS committe must have been, not a single one could manage a minute for the inspection.
	</p><p>
	The next day as we know we had another bitter discussions, you denying the prizes to be given and we demanding its the prestige of the LOCUS which is at stake. Certain discussions we made during that time probably got on the nerves of some of you, they may have taken it personally. But I really apologize If I or any other of us were rude. It was never personal what we discussed there, it was some volunteers talking to the locus committe members about the committe denying the prizes. I really appreciate your words that you finally spoke in favour of saving the stake and gave away the prize.
	</p><p>

<div align="justify">
I used to think very early on in my school days that one day I was going to be a physicist or at least I am going to a student of physics. I clearly had that passion on me. I have to admit that I was quite good at understanding some concepts in physics from the school days, but then they may have been simple progressive development of mind instead of anything out of the ordinary. I may have been a little better at understanding something and curious than those around but that doesn't make myself entirely so convinced to say that I was better student. The minimal fact was that I was clear on my mind that I was going be a physics student.
<p/>
I used to dwell on problems for hours and days. Even a problem I clearly remember dwelling upon for nearly a year which later turned out to be such a simple problem. But I clearly had that dedication to find somethings myself rather than just getting the answer to the problem.
<p/>
The first ever discovery I should say that I made was the total number of handshakes that n people make with each other if every one shook hand with the other. I came to that conclusion for number of handshakes, which later was found to be correct, inspired by a simple formula for the total possible subset of a set with cardinality n which was 2 to the n. So naturally I loved myself solving problems and trying to discover.
<p/>
But then I came in contact with Madhav after school. We didn't take much of a time to be close together because what we both did was love programming. It was incredible that both of us had tried to make games on Qbasic and one of them was common, making games in Qbasic was not the thing for the student of secondary level those days, at least for our locality. And to study physics was our common goal. We both felt proud to be known as future physicist. One staggering co-incidence was that we both did some kind of programming on a calculator which we independently called 'calculator programming'. Talking about each other's experience on how we displayed patterns and mathematical series or solved quadriatic equations, was something out of this earth because neither of could guess that one of us would have done the same thing independently not known to anybody else, that was some thing to be happy about.
<p/>
The early days we were together we dwelled much more on programming than physics although we had discussions about physics. Back then we didn't know something like dreamweaver existed. All I knew was Qbasic for programming language. Internet was starting to be a commonly heard word that days and only access to internet was through cyber on weekends. Let alone GPRS and anything. He had a Nokia 1100. He knew about programming on Visual Basic 6.0 and he taught me that. Then he came up with a plan. Both of us had a basic idea of HTML as web page markup language. His idea was of writing a GUI application that would let the user design a webpage of with. That was soemthing I didn't think about that time. We even did write codes for that and tested that for the webpage made. Both of us had one of our own. I didn't realize back then, but I can remember now how his program was far better than mine.
<p/>
We obviously did study in different +2 colleges. But we never lost contact. He used to come sometimes and would always discuss about something that I had never even heard of. The ideas of physics. The ideas of how vaccum tube was so incredible and how transistors have evolved to invade the world. I probably was to obsessed with discussing with the teachers and being happy solving problems on book and course. I did try somethign on my own. Like I had my own way of proving mathematically that the gravitational force of a distributed spehrical mass is exactly as that of the point mass concentrated at the CM. I did a great deal of mathematics to conclude that. Which of course, later turned out to be easy. I had a few bunch of these type of problems with me. But when he arrived he would start topics of universe and the crazy world.
<p/>
I then had started to realize this guy is something out of the ordinary. It was incredible how he had understood the concept of irrational numbers and fractions on his own while I was proud solving the problems of book. We had a memorable discussion one day which I can clearly remember, I'm sure he does too. His understanding of infinities and irrational number was so rigorous at that point of time that he pointed out a fundamental fallacy in my understanding of numbers. He proved that my understanding of numbers would imply that the fraction 1/3 didn't exist. I was convinced on my idea that I wrote it with a permanent marker on my desk saying '1/3 doesn't exist'. I later understood the concept and was completely taken aback how my understanding was absurd. I understood the concept because he was there to guide me through, but for him, that was an work of art. He had one it all by himself.

One particualr days on our discussion he had a saying about how I was a little less imaginative. I had probably not understood all that well what he ment by then. But I realize now, how physics is all about imagination. How learning and understanding require imagination.
<p/>
One thing that I find so special about him is his way of thinking something differently. The most difficultest of concept, he gets with rather ease for the level of mathematics he has, or we have. Thinking differenly, for me, is his greatest asset. Understanding something is explained is what I think I too am good at but finding different explanation to something is something which keeps him far ahead.
<p/>
I remember, who introduced me to a world of programming beyond Qbasic, Mad Hv, who made me realize that imagination was the key, Mad Hv. Who made me realize that physics is not merely being able to solve textbook problem but rather finding explantiaons, Mad Hv. Who introduced me to Richard P. Feynman, Mad Hv. Who introduced me to abstract algebra, Mad Hv and lot other.
<p/>
Obviously, our level of mathematics is way too low. We try from our side the utmost to try to understand but obviously a guide with a true understanding of maths is what we need. He sometimes ignores that we have to rote learn something like a method to solve a particular problem. I can't clearly write what I feel on this term but little ignorance on memory is something which doesn't impress me much about him.
<p/>
Despite knowing that I probably don't have that little something to be able to do any remarkable in physics, being a dedicated student of physics is the greatest aspiration I have. What worries me sometimes is his saying, "Probably I would be a professional programmer". That worries me is whether he would give less emphasis on doing physics over something like programming. Although programming is something where he is no less good at, still my gut feeling is that he should be a physicist. His ability is greater than my aspiration. I wouldn't be too surprized if some time in the future he proposes something radical, but for that he needs a good platform to study. An environment for physicists to discuss and flourish ideas. Still a great deal of hard work and sharpness is required but basics are the must. At least a good college to be able to dedicate to physics and mathematics. A free mind to work in tranquility.

		I probably have had enough of programming, now I should really concentrate on Mathematics and leave programming aside.

	I said above line just before the semester break of VI semester. In saying I had in mind that I am not going to be a professional programmer. I am going to be a physicist and I shall rather be strong in mathematics than on programming. I have been lagging back in my mathematics and have been spending a great share of time on programming. So I thought above lines.

	<p>
	But somebody introduced me with php, css, javascript and MySQL in between. I thought I shall give a little try on these and get introduced about php programming. I started with very basic php pages and then I was into the world. I couldn't resist myself from doing it more and more and exploring more and more. My mathematics then went sharply down and I found myself spending much time with we designing.

		Though this is a very basic and beginner level website (should I really say a website?) considering the appearence and regarding very beautiful websites out there in the market. This, but, gives me a great satisfaction to be saying now that I have an website and yes <strong>I have designed it on my own, every bit of it, every characters in it have been typed by me0</strong>. I feel so happy I plunged into the world of PHP and web development.
	</p>

	<p>
		I now find myself <i>inspecting element</i> whenever I see any webpage that is beautiful. I really wanna know how that particular effect has been achieved.

	I was sitting on my chair in the room. Because of a stream of thinking I got lost from the world outside. But when I got out of the imagination and landed back on my chair I suddenly realized everything around me has expanded proportionally i.e. they look bigger than I was used to seeing them. I couldn’t compare them to outside world; but for me everything inside my room looked expanded.<p>

	But; if I can’t compare them with anything outside the room how can I say that everything or anything on the room is expanded? If everything inside the room is expanded along with the room then I can’t say whether anything has really expanded. I realized that “If everything in the universe were subjected to a scale factor then still the world would look exactly as it was before; every laws of nature would be same and nothing would look different.
	<p>
	Now, I realize that whenever we say an atom is really 99% empty space, it actually is because in the atomic scale every measurement would be significant. So there is every possibility that every electron; so small in our scale of measurement; is whole a single universe. Within a our new “electron-universe” there could be some “electron-electron” and it could have “electron-electron-universe” and so on; like an old myth of who holds the earth; the tortoise; who hold the tortoise then? Next tortoise all the way down. And our universe may be some “pre-electron” revolving round an atom in a universe contained in an electron. Pretty amusing!!
	<p>
	Probably some scientists in the universe; in which our universe is an electron for them; are observing with respect to the atom and other particles in their atom that the “electron” is expanding and contracting periodically. Now, we are expanding and contracting but we don’t realize it, because everything around us expand and contract in exactly the calculated rate so as to give us a feeling that everything is static.
	<p>
	This is interesting! Here is a trick; what happens when a spherical particle distribution contracts and expands periodically? Everything expand and contract in phase except the one at center which is always constant in its position.(exactly like when a rod rotates particle in its axis are at rest v=ωr and at cneter r=0 →v=0). I sometimes; in my imagination; lie at the center of our universe (which I can suppose safely; supposing the universe is infinite in every direction on my scale). Now every people around me expand and contract. Sometimes they are too big and sometimes they are very tiny. And I am the master of all, I can control the frequency of the expansion and contraction. Now I let the electron contract and watch everybody very tiny. I laugh a hell out of me for those people who call me short. They are almost invisibly small (pity for them, I don’t contract them further).
