MailNotification A MediaWiki plugin to email recent changes to all registered wiki users based up on http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MailNotification Adam Wolf http://feelslikeburning.com This was originally written by Ramin Dalkouhi and has not been updated in some time. It no longer functioned on new MediaWiki installs. I updated so it did. It works on MediaWiki 1.15.1. I've used it on wikis that I have had to lock down so the RSS feeds are not available. Usage ===== A few configuration settings can be changed in MailNotification.configuration.php. Otherwise, set a cronjob to run MailNotification.cronjob.php. When it runs, all the registered users will be sent an email with a summary of the changes since the last email was sent. Installation ============ Copy the files to your extensions folder and register the MailNotification plugin by adding the following line to your LocalSettings.php: require_once("extensions/MailNotification/MailNotification.php"); Changelog ========= *August 18th 2009: Released code publically *June 2009: Added some fields to the email enhancing usability. Made it work on modern MediaWiki installs. Questions, Comments? ==================== Feel free to contact me at adamwolf at feelslikeburning.com. I don't know how to write MediaWiki extensions, and I don't know PHP either, so I'm definitely not the best person to maintain this.
