== Description ==

Restful is a responsive, modern theme for churches. It's built-in integration with the [Church Theme Content](https://wordpress.org/plugins/church-theme-content/) plugin allows for easy and attractive display of Events, Staff, Sermons, and Locations. It provides customizable color schemes, accent color, and social icons. It also includes a home page slider when used with the [BrightSlider](https://wordpress.org/plugins/brightslider/) plugin.

= Setting Up Front Page =

When you install the theme, it will initially look like a blog. To make the theme look like the screenshot, follow these steps:

1. Create another new page that will function as the home page. This can be titled whatever you like. "Home" or "Welcome" are good options. In the Page Attributes box, select "Home" in the Page Template drop down. Enter your desired content and publish the page.
2. Create and publish another page for your blog if you wish to use posts. You don't need to enter any content on this one.
3. Browse to Settings → Reading and select "Static Front Page" radio option.
4. Select your new home page and blog page in the appropriate drop downs. Save your changes.

= Accessing Events =

You can access an archive of all your upcoming events by visiting this `http://yoursite.com/events/`, replacing `yoursite.com` with your acutal domain.

= Accessing Locations =

You can access an archive of all your locations by visiting this `http://yoursite.com/locations/`, replacing `yoursite.com` with your acutal domain.

= Accessing People =

You can access an archive of all your people by visiting this `http://yoursite.com/people/`, replacing `yoursite.com` with your acutal domain.

= Accessing Sermons =

You can access an archive of all your sermons by visiting this `http://yoursite.com/sermons/`, replacing `yoursite.com` with your acutal domain.

= Highlighted Menu Item =

You can add the class `featured` to a menu item to have it displayed with a border in the main nav menu. If you don't see the option to add a CSS class to a menu item, expand "Screen Options" in the top right of the Menus page and check "CSS Classes."
